you might want to rethink that paypal thing, alot of my clients have realized noticable gains from swithing over to a full bore shopping cart system rather than the paypal plus right now most of the gatway companies are offering free set up's which means its just 20.00 a month to accept credit cards + 2.25% of all charges and it takes credit cards as well as checks (checks are an extra 15.00 a month) and .25 per transaction. pay pal is a pain in the *** unless you already have an account. you will literally lose customers that dont have pp accounts because they can always just jump over to someone whos ready to take their money. No one wants to set up an account through paypal its a hassle. Rather with a cart system that accepts payments through a company like verisign or authorize.net (dont go through an agent they will charge you at least 300.00 for set up) you get to retain the information of your buyers in your database so you can tell them about new offers and product releases. plus when they sign in the system will remember them through a username and password and they wont have to refill the purchase form. its a thought, you can get some pretty good ones that are relatively cheap. and you can always keep the paypal as an option for your e-bay shoppers too, i 'm not saying do away with paypal by any means but just as an alternative for anyone not using a pay pal account.
