Second Skin Damplifier V. Daplifier Pro

wheres it going and how much do you really care? not trying to be stupid about it but seriously, if your the kinda person that gets the best of everything go pro, i am not, i just got normal damplifier and only for my doors, cause i could care less about what makes my trunk not rattle, but thats just me

Doors...roof..trunk..

Whatcha deadening? And what speakers will you be using?

I had the same dilemma, but i figured with a single 6.5" in each of my doors, i don't need anything crazy, so i went with just regular damp.

thats my opinion.

wouldnt really matter how much i put in my trunk..it will still rattle

but this is for my two front doors..usually do get the best.

im just asking if there will be a difference if i use 30ish sqft or the pro per door as compared to 50 sqft per door of the regular.

not sure yet

might do duals in each door...its a toss up still

noah is gunna be doing some fiberglass work for me soo...

50 sq ft per door seems like alot, id go with raamat over damplifier, but im jsut bitter i didnt get any for free.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

what njizm tells me to get..thats usually what i buy...he said Secondskin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i ask no questions...

except about how much to get :p

that is somthing to think about too, i would rather do layers of not so good stuff that just a layer or two of the good stuff, with deadening and me, ive only done my own car, but layers works better for me, mosty for flexing i would rather use multiple layers of rammat then one layer of damp pro, allthough the damp pro is much much nicer to work with id get the damplifier and use the extra to do more layers in areas that need it more

p.s. you got the 3800?

yup 3800 s/c

id go with raamat over damplifier
Why, because you don't want to pay for the far superior product?

I got my money on that you will not achieve an audible damping performance difference between Damplifier and DP unless the panel is very close to your ears or in the extreme temperature changes. "Deadener" sucks in the very cold and very hot.....and the foil-backed CLD mats don't seem to fair any better than those without.

what makes original damplifier far superior to raamat? If you know something i dont let me know? Ive been researching for a little while and dont see much difference unless i go with the pro.

Many things, but I'd say the top concerns for you are:

Ant uses a better quality butylene composite adhesive. This translates to higher product reliability. RAAMmat doesn't have the greatest track record for QA, but it's still a somewhat decent product.

Damp is 4 mill, RAAM is 2 mill on the foil thickness

The sheets come flat as apposed to all wrinkled up like and old man's *$ on a roll.

Of course not all of these products are the same in terms of performance and application. But, just looking at the cost alone should give you SOME indication as to how much they cost to produce. Ignoring the obvious markup you cannot see, I tend to think you get what you pay for.

ive used original damp and rammat alot and the damp is way nicer more pliable less "tarry" its just a ton nicer to use, and i have a white car, and with the ramat i got my car all tarry, but the second skin, dint make my hands black at all, but im messy, and go 3800s! wha kinda mods do you have on your motor?

thanks for the info, i wasnt doubting the SS may be better, just going by what ive been reading, Ive yet to make my decision and i need at least 150 sq' ft so who knows...
