sealing screw holes

Hi I'm trying to put some TC 1000's in my Probox for my truck. The TC's basket uses 6 holes instead of 8 so the holes do not line up.

Would a little bit of clay + the subs rubber seal do the trick or do I need to fill them with something else? I may eventualy get rid of this box and want to put the origional subs back in it.

Thanks in advance.

Ok so I guess I will use some clay, over the existing holes and just rotate the sub and drill new holes. The Probox has some liner type coating on it which seemd to make it harder to get a good seal without clay.

If that does not work I will use the glue and toothpick method but like I said I wanted to possibly re-use the old holes at a later date.

Thanks

JI

you know what i use, when i come across something like this?
common sense
Well common sense tells me clay might not work well for sealing holes and that if the subs are powerful enough It could possibly push the clay out of the holes in the future causing an airleak. I don't have alot of time so I figured I would ask to make sure.

Common sense is nice, but a simple Q with a few responses to clear it up never hurts.
