Sealing Plexi to MDF

Im building two small boxes about 1.1cf per box for some RE SE12's. The thing is Im gonna make the back panels out of 3/4 plexi so the magnets are visible. What would you guys advise to seal this panel to the mdf? Im gonna use screws after drilling slightly larger holes but still need some kind of sealant. Would clear silicon be crappy?

Any help would be great.

another option is to use cork tape. it comes in rolls or you can buy in lengths of per foot sections. 1" by 1/8" thick. Use anchor nuts behnd the mounting flange and fasten with some nice recessed allan head machine bolts. (This is the same way Helicopter chin bubbles and windshields are installed.) Looks professional, and it works perfectly perfect. It also has adhesive to fix it to. you can use a razor blade to make perfect joints in the corner....

they are also known as "t-nuts"

here is the cork tape. you can also get clasic colored style as well. but you may be able to find a color to better fit the look for your car...

to give you the out-come of this.... ONLY WAY MUCH COOLER>>>This Pic was jsut for example)

here is what has been mentioned already> however you can find it in much wider widths
