any pics of the build? thats what im looking to see is how u exactly sealed it off ..
depending on the way the box is. i am planning on doing two 4" aeros to make it "even" but that would require a really wide box due to the openings starting from 23" apart + two 4" ports + another 2-3"s for enclosure build. i can do it but it will make my box air space more than i need. even though i can modify other areas as reducing the depth but i really want to give the rear of the sub some clearance space. i dono i'll figure this out somehow lol.Ya thats a good way but I really dont want to fiberglass since this is just a temp little setup I'm doing. but you doin aeros throw the 6.5 openings? Im tempted to try that as well haha..
i don't think you are seeing it. i believe he is trying to seal his enclosure FROM the trunk. basically, build a box, face it forward to the cabin, then seal off the trunk so that all output of the speaker is directed into the cabin and not allowing any(or very minimal) air pressure into the trunk. basically separating the 2 areas from each other. as for the porting, it's using your standard ported box, just all going into the cabin.Hmm, so in this application the trunk is actualy being used as the box. Wouldn't this count as infinite baffle?Wasn't aware you could port an IB design. Quite new to this stuff though.
Couldnt of said it better lol..i don't think you are seeing it. i believe he is trying to seal his enclosure FROM the trunk. basically, build a box, face it forward to the cabin, then seal off the trunk so that all output of the speaker is directed into the cabin and not allowing any(or very minimal) air pressure into the trunk. basically separating the 2 areas from each other. as for the porting, it's using your standard ported box, just all going into the cabin.
initially what you are thinking of IS IB.
