tell me about your experiences with this and pics if possible? I would like to see some of your guys work because me and grandpa are going to start a project this week to build a sealed off enclosure behind the backseat since my new car has fold down seats and were going to seal it with mdf to seperate the enclosure from the trunk so i get less rattles. Any advice, pics or anything you can tell me.

i can do with a little less bass if i have to but its not too much of a difference is it? I could loose 10% of my bass and still be happy. It wouldn't bother me as long as their is no rattles.

that could be the culprit but i doubt any box that he makes will be any better from what i have seen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
that box that is in my avatar was extremely difficult to build and we did **** up on it but i can promise you you will enjoy looking at the next one we build. It will be more simple for sure

I'm planning on making a box that is tuned to 30 hertz so it should be pretty loud.
You do realize how confusing your wording in this thread is, right? The title implies you are building a sealed box, the original post suggests any form of box simply firing into the passenger compartment... or possibly suggesting infinite baffle, and half way down the first page you mention that it will actually be a ported box.
So in conclusion, you want a ported box, firing directly into the cabin, with the trunk sealed off. That's no big deal. But most people who opt for direct-fire into the cabin are doing it for SQ, and tend to run sealed enclosure types (or IB). What's your goal for this setup?

I have a single 12 in a sealed enclosure only seeing 400watts and I still get rattles.

You just have to eliminate them one by one with some sound deadening.

Is this what you are getting at?

I have an enclosure like you are wanting, except I have it sealed. For me, it get's louder than when I had it pointing towards the taillights. It also get's plenty low, should sound better with a ported. I did it for increased SQ Just build the box so it is as close to the edge of the opening as possible, and I found that the low-expansion Great Stuff foam works great for sealing the baffle off from the trunk.
