Sealed, facing forward in trunk?

So I read a lot on here about facing the subs/port into the cabin using ported enclosures and sealing it off, then some say its louder facing rear.....

What about using sealed? Would it still benefit from facing forward? Im guessing it would help with trunk rattle! So to anyone who has tried this what was the result?

BTW: seats are always down.

ive tried both and the best for my car was subs back port back seat down i love the ported better then the sealed hands down

it sounds better to the ear subs back port back but typically subs forward port forward yields better results on the TL...

Im thinking it could* work better than facing aft, but it would be a lot of work for me to flip the box around! I did try it a long time ago when I was just starting the hobby, but I cant remember what it sounded like!

Why would it be so difficult?

Just roll backwards so its upside down if anything. that way you wouldnt have to take it out

In my monte carlo I tried every way to face the box. It was loudest with the sub facing towards the back of the car.

Facing the subs to the back sounds much better to my ear. I have noticed if you face them forward that you tend to hear a lot more mechanical noises coming from the subs, so facing back does mask those noises. I have no tl numbers though.

On my car i have subs back/port back. But on my friend's prelude, we put in a crappy old 12" jbl sealed with about 300w facing the side (just for the **** of it) and it sounds pretty good. It impressed me how loud it got for what it was. We havent tried any other position though, so i can't tell u what's louder.
