sorry for so many posts i am designing a box and having a devil of a time doing it. How should the ends of a sealed box be put on. resting on top of the existing boards or fitting in between?

As long as you have all the seams closed up and sealed tight, it really doesn't matter which way the puzzle fits together.

ok well on that note i have another questions. I only have a 13x13 square space so i am going to have to drill some of the screws for my sub into the end piece because the outer diameter is 12.19. Will this be a problem?

Trey, im interested to see how you are doing your box. I have an 01 L with a 10" downfiring sub.

2002 lightning. So here is the deal. I have had 2 10's but the box was too small and was a big waste of money. I now have 1 12 which is perfect but the box is prefab and it leaks and doesnt fit right. I am building it so that the sub fits in between the seats and the box will extend behind the seat but the extension will not be as tall as the part that holds to sub so i can lean the seat back and be comfortable. I will post pics if i get started. Any more questions just ask. Im not sure if this design will affect the sound quality. I read somewhere that certain shaped boxes ruin the sq??
