Sealed Box Question

What affect does the sealed box size have on the sound of the subwoofer?

Most manuals state for instance that sealed box size can be .7cuft - 1.25cuft or what have you. So making it .7 would be what? and 1.25 would be what?

Any input?

Seems like people are double posting a lot lately. Anyways, straight from a thread by Jmac:

Larger -

Pros: Better low-frequency extension, better transient response

Cons: Lower mechanical power handling, larger enclosure

Smaller -

Pros: Higher mechanical power handling, smaller enclosure, "punchier" bass

Cons: Worse low-frequency extension, worse transient response
