Do the dimensions of a sealed box make any difference? Is it better to keep a certain ratio (I thought I remember reading that somewhere. For example would a 10x12x14 box make a difference over 12x12x12.

Also, if it is a more rectangular box width-wise, let's say 20 in, does it matter if the sub is offset to one side or the other and not centered.

Thanks.

At bass frequencies the shape of the box really makes no difference (except for extreme shapes, long tubes ect) same goes for the location of the driver on the box.

It's the midrange that's more affected by enclosure dimentions and driver location.

A perfect square is less ideal than a rectangle.

But when it comes down to it, not much really matters. As mentioned just stay away from abnormal shapes. Like labyrinth style box's...

Right now, it looks like it is gong to be shaped like the plans for the slot vented boxes, but with no port of course, and the sub mounted to one side of the face.
