Sealed Box for 12" Diamond D6???

Diamonds website calls for .875 ft3 for a sealed box. Thinking of a simple box thats 14t x 14w x 10d. Thats 1.13 ft3. Does that sound like it would work? I have a mustang coupe so space is vey limited.

That'd be a little bigger than what's called for, but it should work fine.

Is there a minimum dimension the sub should be from the back of the box? I could make it 8" or 9" deep, but the mounting depth is 6"...not sure if that would be okay.

With the box size you have listed it is at 8.5 which leaves 2.5 and that will be fine.

LOL, this is what we all get for assuming and not double checking.

I wasn't accounting for the thicknes of the wood...if I go 14"x16"x10" that gives me 0.892. Do I need to factor woofer displacement and make the box a little bigger?

I checked the calc sheet and it list the sub displacement at .1 ft3, so I'll increase my box volume by that.
