I'm a jeep guy, so I can help you out. You can easily get 2.25-2.5cuft, so I'd go sub firing down and port driver's side, with a 4" aero. The box in my TJ was 35w x 14h, 13.25bd x 10.25td. Mine had 1.5" legs to raise it off the floor.
