Sealed box dimentions

Theres a pole that goes right through where my box needs to go would it be ok if i just built the box around the pole? would it effect sq at all. It would be where the cvr box is but its bigger so could i just drop it down there

it shouldnt, it would be like putting braces inside the box, you just have to subtract the "displacement" of the wood that you build around the pole

i would also have to fiberglass the wheel well would i just try and estimate the space it takes up
