sealed back midrange speakers?

I've been pondering a set of sealed back midranges but haven't come up with a lot of good results. "sealed back" pulls up a lot of results for sealed and back but not much together. From a google search, I've found DLS makes a set but I can't find them...

All I've found are these:

I'd be looking for 6.5" or less. Does anyone have suggestions?

I'd have

60w@8ohm

80w@4ohm

1502@2 and 1ohm

Sealed back speakers allow for complete seperation from forces created by other speakers without having to create a seperate chamber in an enclosure allowing you to use an overall smaller enclosure size and less complicated construction. Tweeters are sealed back...

I'm planning on picking up a Ural and taking my fr125s into the home where they belong. I'm debating going with a 3way active front stage, all in kicks (yeah, I can do it) with your kodas, sealed midrange (to cut down space) and undecided tweeters, perhaps the Dayton RS'

Hmmn...I'd love to see you squeeze all that in kicks- specially using a large format tweeter and midrange-if you go with domers....

I already can easily fit an 8 and the 4.5' fr125s in my kicks with some room to spare. I may not be able to fit the RS tweeter because of it's large mounting ring, however I do have room for a standard format flush or surface mount tweeter in addition to a 3-4" midrange for sure. I could probably fit everything upto a 6.5" midrange with a normal format tweeter.

Ideally a 3-4" midrange would be ideal. I could make seperate chambers if I can't find a suitable midrange and mount the tweeter with it, however, I would like the sealed back for the following reasons:

1) makes construction easier

2)allows more airspace to be dedicated to the koda 8s

3) makes overall kicks smaller.

Cant you fit 8's in the doors?

Probably. It'll stick out insanely far. Plus the kodas will be playing up to 600hz and I'd rather have the convience of having all the speakers on one plane for aiming purposes.

Okay, opening up to all midrange. I'd like to keep it to no larger than 4". Price, well, throw things at me. I'm sure the seas lotus mids are far out of my range. I'm not sure of pricing but I was looking at Rainbow MD100 mids... Maybe even the TB 3" aluminum from PE...

I just found these:

Mounting distance looks to be about 3.5". I can't find any other information on them. Has anyone heard these? Maybe I could do 2/side with a supertweeter?

IMO, don't use a high efficiency midrange unless you are going to be using other high efficiency drivers (like horns). It'll only complicate level matching/etc.

In Stock? No, awaiting updated due date

They haven't been released yet.

I realize the 2"s haven't been released yet, after posting and some more research.... Doesn't mean someone hasn't heard them yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The main reason I was looking at high-efficency drivers is because most midranges seem to be small, 2-4", and I'd want something that could keep up with the kodas at moderately high volume levels.

Cybe, what are the specs and shoot me some pics, if you would.

They're 8 ohms, and I wouldn't feed them more than like 60-70 wrms.
