SE vs SSD

looking at either getting a 12 inch RE SE, or a Fi SSD. wich will be better as far as SQL? oh and i am either running 1000 watts to them or i will buy another amp.

open to other suggestions too

I'm figuring that the ssd will have more output but the se will have better sq. I've heard se's and they are great sounding subs, but I haven't heard a ssd yet.

ok thanks for the input guys. so what size ported box do these run the best in, and how much power do they need to fully pound?

and they will both take at least 1000 watts right?

my fi ssd sounds pretty dang good and gets hella loud rms says 800 i got copper flat wind coil it takes 1100 easily all day !!

I dunno. The ssd with copper coil could give an SE a run.

lol i threw a massive p1500 on the ssd eh started smellin at like 75-80 percent gain so yea that's prolly more than 1100 never dealt with an se though so i guess it is a bias opion on this one

You cant have the copper flatwound coil.

The copper coil and flat wind coil are two different options... The copper coil would be the better option for a more sq geared system. The flatwind w/ the bp power option would be better for higher power daily I think
