SE vs HC

I read somewhere that RE SE subs perform just as good as RE HC subs if you are pumping in less than 1000 watts of power into each. Anyone know if this is true or not? If it is I'll prolly just end up getting the SE version from RE and just save the cash since I don't think i can afford an amp that can handle the full potential of an HC just yet. What do you guys suggest?

Also anyone know current prices on both models at 12"?

Prices are probably about the same as the old ones...

If you would search someone on here posted all the prices of everything.

I would think that both would be just about as loud, but the HC would sound better. It's like comparing a K to and O in the SQ department...

yeah....SE's get louder than HC's but then after 1k watts the power handling of the HC's start to take over. HC's should sound better, but like ported boxes. SE's work well in either box.
