thinking of swapping out my single 12 se for an sx...... will it get louder? will i lose SQ? my amp and box are in my sig that will stay the same just a different sub

SX will blow the SE away. Just give it around 1000-1300 rms.

Se's are beast, let them eat. Feed it 1000-1100

I did mine and they were fine.

They can take some punishment.

yeah i tested 900 rms to my SE and it got kinda sloppy sounding compared to the 700 rms i was used to running... just want something that will take 1000 rms better

sx handles power better so it should get louder. you may want to just get another se though, that'll be louder than 1 sx. 2 12's are better than 1

My vote goes to the SX. Gets loud, can handle power well, and sounds good enough for the majority of people...

my type r's are weak in my sealed enclosure too. you can't expect much from 1 se
