Scytek Good Alarms?

well honestly i have never herd of them, BUT if they are that cheap, expect to get what you pay for... thats all i can say, look in too autopage? DEI?
X Eleventy Billion.

There's good reason why most people have heard of DEI, Audiovox or more specifically Prestige, Viper, Clifford, etc etc etc (fill in random reputable car alarm company here) as they have been building quality equipment for a long time and people know that they will get their money's worth by buying their products.

As full-featured as those Scyteks claim to be for the prices they're selling for I just don't have any confidence as far as product longevity goes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yeah I know the retail on the 2100 is like 350 bucks so it's comparable to say many Vipers/Dei/Clifford/Matrix, and going that I used to work for a company who sold them, I know cost is diddly shit on those things. A friend of mine has one and seems to like it on his truck i am just wondering if their price's are high b/c of the screen or, is it more you pay for name with viper/dei/cliffor/matrix etc alarms.

Scytek products are just as good as everyone else! I have a RS5100 in all of my cars and I haven't had any problems with them. People will have different opinions about them because they're not a well known brand but I like them because of the features and the price.

I think that's it's funny how people will knock something that they haven't used themselves. If you open up 90% of the alarms on the market today they all look the same, we tend to by NAME BRAND because It's popular. I'm in the process of buying my friends car/home audio business and I asked his employees to let me know what brands are good sellers for them and they all told me that they prefer Astro Start and Scytek products because of price and tech support. I think that I will listen to them because they're the ones doint the installs and bringing in the money. I'm not knocking the other brands I just prefer not to be on the band wagon

I'm still up in the air when it comes to the Vision Guard! When I was in Nebraska for training last year there were three different vendors selling the same products (Scytek, Asian Wolf and Panther). I still love the products I just thought that it was funny to see them all in the same room.

They'll all the same god damn thing... ALL ALARMS...

I have had a Galaxy 5000RS-2W FM for over 2years. No problems whatsoever. Great range, simple to use, remote start, etc, etc, etc...

You guys DO know that they are just selling these wholesale, wholesale on all those DEI products... like the viper 791 etc are around $165 as well... they're just simple brains, shock sensor, and antenna's... not too complicated at all.

I have the ability to get the DEI products at a HUGE discount... but I don't b/c this unit has worked great for me thus far. It has a slightly smaller remote, is still 2-way paging, has a longer battery life, the buttons don't wear out... AND it comes with TWO LCD Remotes... not just one.

So, in conclusion... they're fine and dandy.
