we just got done installing an older Sony mp3 deck and amp wiring into my friends '99 Honda Accord. When i hooked it up, the player worked fine and sounded really good. He also has two JL 10s and no amp so we hooked a Legacy 1000 watt i had laying around, and everything worked beautifully. But, after we took the amp out, he noticed that everytime he hits a button or turns the vol all the way down, it makes a low thumping/popping noise in all for speakers. On top of that he claims his radio started making a static interference type noise that would change respectively with the gas pedal. Ive had some weird stuff happen before but not like this.
