That is part of the general car manufacturer rules like saftey requirements, the heigth of the lights, etc. They are not road laws IMO.

Computers and people are not 100% fail safe my man. If a mistake was made and it wasnt the kids fault, then the problem could have been solved much easier than having 2 people get out of their cars behind a cop in a traffic stop.
I don't know about you but I have gotten a reinstament form/recipt from the RMV and it is a simple paper with no stamps or anything printed in. Could easily be douplicated, which is why officers go by their computer rather than a civilians peice of papers. Would you be quilible enough to let a kid go because he has a peice of paper, when your computer is flashing red saying he is suspened?

Techincally yes. But lifting your vehicle or lowering it technically illegal too. One of those things that are not enforced unless needed.

All you have to do is call the local news station and they'll love to make a news story out of this. All you need is the names of the officers and you'll be set. Then they make the story and then the cops almost certainly have to do something or it will be bad publicity followed by more shit against them.

But the cops in my town are cool but when I go over the border into orlando they are assholes. I was running a half-marathon this weekend in Orlando and everything was fine until the last 3 miles or so when everyone was really spread out. The cops would let the cars go by when runners wern't in the intersection, but then in the last few miles there were just jackass cops that would wave on the cars even if you were almost to the intersection. Then one of the corners there was a lady cop waving on the cars and as I got into the intersection the guy in the truck saw me coming and so stopped and then I looked and the lady was getting pissed that she was waving him on and he wasn't going. Then I'm just running through the intersection looking at the lady with the wtf are you doing look. I'm pretty sure everyone around there was doing the same.

Then I heard from some other people about running through and having to dodge some cars that cops have waved on through.

When cops do that kind of stuff to you, it's always best to be on the offense. Like if they pull you over for no moving when they have their lights on (not a good idea, just a long story to go with it), just ask them if it was an emergency, which is the only reason they may have their lights on (well besides parades and festivities), why did they stop to pull you over. And then start about how you can get them in trouble for having their lights on with no emergency.

I doubt it. The news around here wouldn't cover a silly traffic stop unless the cop tazered someone. We didn't get the officer's names, atleast I didn't, But in that pic you can see her car #. The cops would just gouge at our records as probable cause anyways. They arent exactly empty manilla folders.
