The e-brake on a 66 mustang controls the rear brakes. The seal on the cylinder busted, thus no brake pressure.

Wrong. The e-brake is mechanical. The cable pulls on a gear that rotates and pushes the pads out to the drums. There doesn't need to be any fluid pressure in the cylinders for it to work. That's why its called the emergency brake.

ah theres your problem. it seems like the sheriffs and state police always give the most trouble for some reason.

Interesting. I thought it mechanically operated the cylinder inside the drum. I thought it was only a solution to a bad master cylinder. I stand corrected as well then. I am no technician either(obviously).

it's not an e-brake moron it's actually a parking brake. not designed to stop a moving car. made to keep a stopped car from moving.

While not designed to do so, it by all rights should stop a vehicle. Albeit after a longer distance than the vehicles braking system.
