scratchy noise from sub

never know it could be something simple. give it a little power and see what happens. free air it lightly and see what happens. good luck hope it aint blown.
Yeah I'm gonna do that tomorrow in my friends system and see how it does..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Did you check what the coils are reading with a DMM?
No I did not check the coils but we just hooked it up in his box and turned it up and it was loud as fuk...

once I took it back out and pressed on the cone the scratchy noise was gone:veryhapp:

Do you guys know what was causing that noise ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

most likely the person u had it from had debree in his box or something got caught between the coil and the cone.. also if it starts making that sound again by pressin in the center and sometimes smell something thru the port could be on its way bye bye

Hook it up to a 9 volt battery and free air it a little. Easier than waiting for you friend. Plus you really don't want to send too much power to it if you don't know whats up with it.
