scosche db meter

cant he use it for EQing purposes at least? like play test tones and write down how loud each tone was and use the data to know what frequencies might need to be cut/boosted?

idk but he has it so i was just wondering if it would be accurate at all in my car so i could get some idea if it would even be worth it to try a competition

yeah im in the same boat...like i dont even know if im @ like 110 DB's or 140....i have NO idea...anyone know where i could get metered in NJ...central NJ
Some of the guys on the forum had a meet last weekend in NJ. I believe someone there brought a TL. They have audio competitions at Raceway Park a lot. Go there enter one and see how ya do.

thats the thing...i feel like i might be embarassed (like im only hitting 120 DB's or something)

what would be ball park....of 15" Alpine Type R running like 700 watts RMS...(real 700 watts RMS) in a 4 cube ported box...like 120's,130's,140's...definately nothing higher...and im hoping nothing lower

definitely at least 130s unless you really screwed something up, most likely more.
