So, I wanted to make a new thread here for new stuff we get. CACO's got a thread, so why don't we?

I got another transformer today. It's out of an old microwave. Almost as big as the one I got yesterday, but much simpler. Converts 120v AC to 2,100v AC!!! Much simpler. Only has 5 wires total.

Size reference with my truck:

Got a beefy 24v DC electric motor too. Was used to power a bike

Also got a charging circuit for 120v AC to 24v DC. Just needs three new FET's

Plus, I got a dual AC "squirrel fan" and a fist-sized high voltage capacitor!

I've got more stuff out in the garage too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif today was a good day.

Along with the electrical components, I scored some free forklift wheels. My uncle has two forklifts. One of them needs new wheels because the solid rubber "tire" cracked. I'll give these to him. They came from school, where the old forklift was dismantled and sent out for scrap. Inside and outside of them:

These things are ridiculously heavy!!!! Over 60 pounds each of solid steel and rubber

a transformer will lower or raise any voltage by the winding ration.. the 12v one will raise 120 to 1200..

and for gods sake dont **** with 1kv even at .5kva. you gonna be in the hospital.. anything over 600 volts normal wire isn't designed for that high a voltage..

So what the purpose is collecting these transformers? Not being a jackass serious question.
Idk, lol. I think they're cool. I might have a use for them later on in life

make a video so i can see you get shocked by 2100 volts and .25 amp..
About to upload a video to youtube

way to go, Sanford

Got more transformers out of computer power supplies today, along with some other stuff:

Also, I turned the microwave transformer from yesterday into a small spot welder or "metal melter" like So Low suggested on CACO //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Going to post a video of it later. It converts 120v AC to 2v AC and can deliver up to 900 amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I used my Sky High "2/0" OFC that's like 4/0 welding cable. It's rated up to 600 DC amps, but should be able to handle more AC current because it isn't constant, especially in such a short run

skyhigh 2/0 more than ikely isn't NCE rated like welding wire.. if its not UL certified its probably not nearly as good. those cheap *** jackets they use. no no no...
