Scared of the dark!

first off i wanna thank everyone on this forum who helped me out..

my car is a 95' acura integra GSR it has a 90amp stock alternator.

now i have a brand new orion 1200d amp and a SI MAG 15' woofer that i plan to install in the next few days.

i am faced with a dillema.. i do not think my alt will be able to handle this kind of load.. and i dont want to fork out $300+ for a HO alternator; also ive hear many horror stories about the various companys that make the alts... anyways i dont know if i should install it because if it is too much for my car then i will have to sell it as being used, rather than sell it all new and make my money back.

if i downgrade then ill get a orion 600d amp and a sub to match it, i will then also have room for some front stage all off my stock alternator.. this will be more cost effective.

quit bein a puss and install it. Trust me if you really like car audio you will find the money for the upgrades. i have a smaller stock alt with a 1200 watt amp and a comp amp and i have barely noticeable dimming, with o gauge and big 3 done

yeah, you'll be fine, i've run 1000+ watt amps and a comp. amp on my stock electical for like 6 months and i haven't had a problem (yet). theres some dimming but hopefully the big 3 will do away with that.

Are you kidding me?!
Have you read any information on the Mags? They do very well in low power applications as well. IIRC, Denim was running 400 watts to it while demoing and was pretty impressed.

A friend of mine has a '94 Integra probably with the same alternator and he's running a BX1205D and a NINe.4 to his comps and he barely gets any dimming with the stereo on full tilt. He hasn't even done the big three or replaced his battery which has been lasting him almost a year now.

If you haven't sold the 1200D yet, don't... you'll be fine.
