no.. i am NOT home... i am in tampa cause i went to the game yesterday... and stayed with my dads friends... gave him directions... he came here...

correct....HOWEVER the OP stated he wasnt home and that he traveled to meet the seller..

To the OP... thanks for the info about him coming to where YOU where staying and met you outside.. that clears it up a bit more.

yeah i know.. im a weakling to.. but it was so late and you shouldnt worry about a dumb *** driving an hour to drop it off and just steal it..

can i get links to other ways to file police reports?

i also have a couple neighbor cops and want to see what they say to.

correct me if im wrong you paid for a battery, that battery was delivered to you by the seller. Then sometime that night it was stolen from you by the suspected seller! Now I'm guessing the next time you buy something in this manner you will bring it in the house or get a alarm! If in fact the seller stole it that's pretty shady of him, chances are it will not be recovered. Count this as a lesson learned! Good luck

he said he was there with him just in case... like cause they dont know me etc..

i filed a police report... and also in paypal.

Not sure how I feel about this one...

1. He delivered the batery and sometime afterwards it was stolen and you have absolutely NO proof it was the seller.

2. Kind of your fault for leaving it out there in the first place. Yeah, it sucks that people steal but people always have so you should have known better.

When I purchase ANYTHING and it is going to be "dropped off" I ALWAYS, ALWAYS meet them somewhere! Even if it is only like a mile away from where you are staying. I don't tell peole my address nor do I usualy tell them how far I had to travel to meet them. Doing business like this directly from your place of residence is just asking for trouble IMO. Mark it up as a lesson learned and move on. It SUCKS but unless you have/get proof he did it, you are just SOL... As for paypal, I doubt they will refund you and I don't really think they should. Not unless you have proof it was him in which case, screw paypal, go through the police and make him give you the full retail value of a brand new one....

ok get this.. im in tampa for two days... spent the night, last night i met up with a kid from floridaspl, not sure if he is a member here.. but he said he was.. i paid him with paypal for a kinetik battery and i got it last night, he drove from lakeland or so to tampa... we met outside around 1 AM and he was with his friend.. he saw me open my dads trunk when i put the battery.. we talked for couple min etc... but i woke up at around 9:30 am or so, my dads trunk door is wide open and the battery is gone.. thats the ONLY thing gone in the car... psp and ipods still there..
why would u break into a car and only steal a battery?? cause it was him who sold me it....

he is now denying it etc.. and im trying to file a police report now..

his name on his paypal account i sent to, he claimed it to be his step dads...

i mean.. cant i get finger prints from the door handle. or you think he did something to where there not on there?

theres people online who had problems with him... i have a text that said this:

i asked how much terminals cost.. he said well free from ace hardware if you got pockets..

that tells you right there he steals..

but like he said i tried to scam him using paypal.. he acted like it was nothing.. if i said oh ok what ever... i say i have the battery, u know hes not going to try to get his $$ back.. cause he KNOWS he has it... i cant rlly explain it..
