hey guys so i just completed my system untill i get a ported box but i was wondering if id have a chance in any of the rookie competitions for spl.....

i have a hifonics brutus bxi1608d 1600 watt amp pushing a single alpine type r DVC 4 ohm in 1 and a quarter cubes sealed box wired at 2 ohms to the amp so its getting 1100 rms... oooh and all this is in a 2000 nissan altima gxe... pioneer 6.5"s and tweets in the front doors and 2 6.5" insignia 4way speakers in the deck in the back.... with a JVC KD-PDR40 head unit..... do i have any chance in even rookie or the lowest spl ranks at SBN?

a single alpine type r 12" 4 ohm DVC in one and a quarter cubes sealed box.... wired at 2 ohms gettina bout 1100 rms from the hifonics 1608d 1600 watt amp..... it pounds the hell out of my car already....... (my ported box wont be ready till after SBN) broke right now and had the sealed box layin round.....

yes your Type r wud be able to compete in flyweight

i think jared told me he wud be using a pair of 10's if i remembered correctly

1 18" is 254 sq" would place him in featherweight

flyweight= 0-160 (no walls)

featherweight 161-260 (no walls)

lightweight 261+ (no walls)

middleweight 0- 720

Heavyweight 720 +

its the smallest class but it would not be very competitive. sorry. try bassrace in dbdrag you could do good in that. its all about control in bassrace. fyi i did flyweight last year and did a 140 avg and still didn't pull a top 2. 1-12 and 4000 watts rms
