to day i was on my way home from work(had to go home early becuase of the rain). and i decided i wanted to bang my music loud as hell. so im crusing all the sudden my bass goes away and completely cuts off. im thinkin o well my amp prob just want into protection or sumthing. so i pull into a wallgreens and what do i see.... magic smoke all over my trunk and the gr8 smell of fine voice coil rosted to profection... needles to say i blew the sub to hell..... the voice coil is no more

it was a type r. and it wasnt my gains... 1 of my coworkers was messing with my system swearing to me that he could make it sound better....(turning my bass to +10 and turning up my sub control on h/u sum how 1 type r got unhooked and the sub got a huge clipped singal. i noticed and pulugged the other 1 back in and turned my settins back down(took ema little bit 2 notice) but by that time it was to late. by the time i went about 5 miles.. the sub had had enuf

lol thanks guys i feel allot better now... all i wanted was a kool... now im out allot of money because i had 4 people locally offering me 450 for the 2 type r's the box and the amp
