It was 28 degrees last night here and 30 something in the morning when I was going to work.

Not bad tho during the day.

I free handed most of the rest of the box with a jigsaw today. Some of it came out alright. it's kind of crooked...but if I can get it together enough that I can silicone the livin shit out of it, it may work. i built a box last winter.. it was a whole 10 degrees outside. i figured if my fingers were numb it wouldn't hurt so bad cutting them off.

When I lived in Idaho, I built a few boxes in 10-20 degree weather.Well, attempted would be the proper word.The woodglue would just freeze, turn white, and become useless after it was applied to the wood, before it could "cure".The shop wasn't heated, and it acted more or less like a big freezer.I think it was usually colder in there than it was outside.My balls were so far up north I think they were in my throat.

Make a cut, go inside for 10 min., make another one, go back inside for 30 minutes. . it took me a while.

so you just make the cuts outside then bring it all in to your house, the glue should dry then

what they said, either get someone else to do it, or practice. screw up on enough pieces, buy another sheet of mdf, they're only 20 bucks. i'm only on my 3rd box and it came out ****ed near perfect. however, my first 2 were built around the weird curves and angles of an f-body's rear well area, and the second one was a rather challenging ported build, so when i went to do a square box it was pretty simple by comparison.

what problems were you having, just not able to keep it straight, blade binding up on you?
