SAT > me

Oh yea, well I just took a quiz and didn't have a calculator. So, I just wrote out what you do to solve and had a bunch of equations with arrows going to other equations.

no calculator FTW when teacher only grades for understanding. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

1410 - old scale

2110 - new scale

and with a 1020, you better take it again because i can swear to you that uf will not take you with that score. i'll be going there next year.

I think I got a 1210, had awful classes, decent GPA...but I write well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
VT apparently didn't mind...

Don't get too bent out of shape about it, the whole college admissions thing is blown out of proportion anyway. Nobody in college gives two shits about what you got on the SAT/ACT.
are you a minority? this place accepts and declines very inconsistently from what I've seen

As far as they're concerned...yeah //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

With my name, I can guarantee they didn't know what the **** I was.

yea i mean just b/c they added a writing sample makes the old one useless right
No I just don't like the idea of the SAT scoring being a creteria to measure intelligence, I saw way too many complete idiots get amazing scores and too many incredibly smart people get mediocre scores.

2090 on new one

High five! I got the exact same score. Its annoying because a lot of scholarships require a 2100 or above to apply. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

High scores might not necessarily get you in many places, but a low score can certainly keep you out. I would definitely re-take it. Buy the Kaplan book with 12 practice tests and take one a week. Make sure you understand why you missed what you did - and don't make the same mistake again. If you're serious about it, study your vocabulary. After a few months of practice, you should tack on at least a few hundred points to your score - which can make a big difference.

1720 on new one, retook a year later (after kaplan), got an 1860, but I didn't really apply myself to the class, heh.

I think my reading + math was a 1210? And I needed a 1240 I think for a scholarship //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I got into my college though, just no scholarship //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
