no but if you can sue mcdonalds for making coffee too hot and burglars can sue the people they rob because they tripped and broke their neck, then he can get a new phone for free.

sorry, i guess im just upset cuz i got the run around for like 2 hours today just to find out the screen being borked wasn't covered under the warranty...
and it really wasnt my fault, the phone was in my pocket and drunk *****es spilled shit on me

Wait a few days and let the phone dry out. This happened to my wifes phone before we were married (2 yrs ago). She actually dropped it in the toilet. The phone worked but the screen quite working. Few days later the screen started working again. Didn't have problems with it anytime later.

Call Sprint, add the total protection to your phone (which covers water damage), bring to Sprint Repair Center, have Sprint repair it for no charge.

I remember when I got my Nextel i860, which was a pile of shit of a phone, I didn't originally have the protection plan on it. After going through the hassle of trying to get that shitbox of a phone repaired, I called Nextel, told them that the phone is about as useful as a bag of dicks is to a lesbian. They told me instead of sending into Samsung, just add the protection plan, which was like $5/month at the time, and bring it to the repair center, and they'll take care of it.

I brought it to the repair center, and they swapped it out for a new (or remanufactured phone, whichever they give you) on the spot.

Sprint/Nextel releases a lot of pathetic quality phones, whether it be reception, software issues, hardware issues, etc. The insurance/protection plan is definitely worth it with them.
