Safety Screws

Im looking for a place i can but safety screws. I would rather get them at a local store instead of ordering online, because it would be rediculous to have to pay shipping for some screws. The ones at partsexpress.com are too long. I think they are an inch and half or something like that. I just need some short (1/2 inch) self tapping metal screws with the safety head on them. I will be using them to mount my amps to my back seat in a hope to deter theft. Thanks,

^ditto... a crowbar would make short work of those.

i'd attach some MDF to the back of the seat with steel L brackets and mount the amp to that with some inch long screws.

Couldnt they just rip out the L brackets from the MDF just as easily?

look at lock smith shops, home alarm/security shops. they usually have stuff like that in stock.
