Thanks for the reply. I need more like those. .65-.75 cu ft is probably fees-able after port displacement with the extended cab. Crew cabs tend to have less space, ironically. But maybe we can squeeze .50-.60 cu ft of airspace after port displacement.
Do you think the SA8's could be tuned lower? I prefer a box tuned pretty low for sound quality. Roughly 30-33hrz. You think the SA8's would work well ported that low?
You will end up adding a ton of extra port length for a few Hz less tuning and almost no audible difference, IMO.

RE Enclosure Calculator

Fill it in as follows for 1 Sa-8:

.75

8

(although a 1/2" wide port seems a little...strange...the math works..)

Leaves the sub with .5cuft. @ 33hz after displacement...

Just multiply the width of that box in increments of 12" leaving one .75" layer of MDF separating each chamber...or not..just leave it wide open and adjust port size accordingly..I think 4 little solid individually packed .5's with 550rms each would slam hard.....so that's my .02$

Not claiming to be an expert or anything...call me out if I'm wrong..

perfect box for slotted...no clue about aero ported..

You would more then likely get wicked port noise from that....also narrow ports like that mess with the actual tuning more often then not.

Yea I was thinking maybe kerf it and round all the inside edges but a 1/5 wide port is just stupid thin...rofl...but uh...what size aero then? TO hit 32-33hz that is..

I had just moved on, and I think I went to meijer...but eh I never stopped thinking about the 8"s idea as you can see...

Thinking about 4 of these with an AQ2200 or similar amp..

Lol at that point, logistically wouldn't 2 BTL 12's or comparable subs be simpler if not just better...

Lookin at like 900$ Vs. 6 x Sa-8 and around 400 each for a high-end(ish) 12...(RE XXX and DDz95 not included ofc)

It more for the WOW factor and you can say yes..my 8's get lower and louder then your 15s..
Yea lol I'de love to say that with 4 of them though and not spend 900$ on some semi commercial 8's lol...for 900$ I could get just about anything, non serious professional/factory team type ****...but like Level5's...Btls...dd's...anything basically..See what I mean?

Yea having 6 subs in a crazy fiberglass mini wall would have wow factor, but I live in Detroit I might as well just throw my keys into the middle of 7mile and Southfield Freeway if I did any sort of show truck...I want a covert system a "sleeper" when someone gets in and sees a gray carpet brick in the back and it makes their heart palpitate That's what's up!

I think this got a bit off topic here. How did we get into doing 6-8 SA8's, two BTL 12's, RE XXX's, or DDz95's? Remember we are trying to keep the functionality out of the back seats and not building a box to take up the entire rear cab. Heck, I could do that.
