SA v AQ

also look into skar, AP makes a decent sub, as their top line

DAD are supposed to be very efficient, and low end monsters. fairly new on the market.

but i guess its all preference.

myself, i loved the sound of my RE sx '06. sounded great and got decently loud.

i dont like the sound of the SA12, but it couldve been his box i suppose.

Saying that on this forum is suicidal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
lol
meh just because a bunch of ****'s have jacobs **** in their mouth doesn't make it not true. you can get plenty better for the same price as an hd3c hell you can get better for the same price as the sa. The thing is you can't run 100000 times rms so they must be ****** drivers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

hell even the subs that jacob and nick came out with are cheaper and just as ''nice'' I guess they don't say sundown so they are **** though.

OP don't forget the 1500 series from dd, the regular one was right in line with the sa. The test I saw was a .1 db difference in the dd's favor, and the supercharged 1500 will wipe the floor with the sa

The supercharged DD1500 of 8", 10" or 12" is a recipe for a lousy, narrow bandwidth response in any vehicle with whatever lame "ported" enclosure you could calculate using WinISDuh, bboxpro, leap etc. The 15" piston option starts to slow down the effects of that ridiculous bucking magnet. They require a large, additional aperiodic coupling chamber to flatten their rhinoceros-horn-like peak in most applications.

It was a ridiculous test.....just like all the other ones you've seen. The major problem is the recommended enclosure from each manufacturer. NONE of them have a partially qualified acoustic engineer on hand. That's obvious, because if they did, they wouldn't have "recommended" box stats on their sites.

People give manufacturers WAY too much credit and assume that whomever is on the other end of the Ethernet wire or phone line knows his/her @$$ from a rabbit hole. None of them have an acoustic engineer in house. Posting the truth would destroy their false credibility.

it is facts, I'd post you where the test was but I can't get on smd. I bet your *** if I would have said the sa was on top you wouldn't have said **** get off the nuts
I suggest you stop here.

the sa was tested b red rock acoustics recently and done better than even very expensive woofers..
