SA v AQ

dont do d2 cause if ur rise isnt much you could be overworking the amp.

i love the sa woofers but with 2200rms i would go with the aq's if ur want a tunning above 36hz and if below go with the sa's. these 2 woofers are like apples n oranges. sa low tuned streat beater, the hdc more of a high tunning comp sub that can be street beat...

lols ''bigger motor means non efficient'' stupid *** rumor. the AQ's will beat out the SA's on same power. I'd run stuff made from a non Chinese country though.
Uh....ok...so your saying run neither?

For nearly any application outside of SPL, I'll put the SAs up against the HDC3s any hour of any day. On musical bandwidth, the HDCs have no chance.

You need to hear a good AQ set up and a bad SA set up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif Both subs can sound fine for daily or sound like **** in a bad enclosure and tuned wrong.

Copper HDC's will do fine off that power, just because they can take more doesn't mean you gotta throw a ton of power at them. SA's will be more bottom heavy so if your choice of "music" is all low **** you might be happier with the SA's. HDC's will play low also, they just aren't bottom heavy like some other subs.

I always hear people rag on the SQ of the HDC's, yet I've NEVER had one person say my set up sounded bad and I play everything but country. It's all in the box and tuning your **** to blend with your front stage...

.5ohm rise is almost a given. Yes, I am sure you could get that down using a box built just to achieve that goal. Plus that amp can do .5 .66 daily as long as you got the electrical to back it up I would know thats my old amp. Oh how I miss her.

Never said spl did not know what he was talking about so re-read my post. Also, the sa-10,12,15's can take 1k daily. Know someone who has a pair of gp3000's stapped on a pair of 10's. Not daily but its an example to show the sa's can hold their own.

because an sa will easily take 1500-2kw daily... and they will burp on 3-5kw...

imo anything over 1-1.2kw per sa is a waste... but they will take more daily just fine...

and sound better and just as loud as an HDC w/o being crappy down low and peaky up high or having the spiders rip apart //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Shut up. Splaudio knows what hes talking Bout. Do d4, on music impedence is ever changing, and without stacked electrical, your amp will get angry.

also, sa 12s are sq woofera either, so hopp off.

Aqs sound pretty decent, so do sa12s, so, off the aq 2200, id rather run two 1000rms rated woofers than two 600rms rated woofers, yea they take more, but why give a sub double rated when you can give your sub rated with no worries anddd have head room for allowing even more power
Because the electrical parameters don't allow for a musical bandwidth without taking an inordinate amount of cargo/trunk volume to acoustically correct the flaws in driver design. They are officially flaws because the manufacturer states that they are just at home in a daily driver, musical vehicle as they are in the lanes and they give you a BS box recommendation of air volume and port area and suspect that you can reach whatever response goal you have simply by changing port length. They are just as and no more ridiculous than any other manufacturer that posts "box recommendations"......and RMS numbers for that matter.
