SA 8 v2 disappointment

If anything it would be the way the LOC is installed not the LOC itself. I personally used this exact LOC before I got my aftermarket kenwood deck and while the sound quality in the sub stage did change using the deck instead of the LOC it wasn't a night and day difference that would make someone go "OMFGBBQ" that sounded like s.h.i.t before. It was a more subtle difference in the sound. As long as the LC2i is tuned properly it can sound very good.
To the OP. When I was using the LC2i the settings I used on it were. Threshold (100%), think I had accubass around the 9 o'clock position and I think I had the bass boost knob on it all the way off. Your settings may vary considering it's in a completely different car and different amp. The LC2i does require quite a bit of fine tweaking to get it "just right" (as long as it's installed correctly as I previously stated).
Thats what I meant...

But really the best option for the OP is going to be picking a cheap(ish) head unit and installing it. I think the main reason why the sub stage sounded better with the aftermarket HU was because the front and rear channels sounded so much better with the new HU (even though they were still being driven by the premium factory amp). Everything just seemed to blend better. And soon I'll be replacing my front stage with some focal PS165's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif So even better yet.

Ya hell I just picked one up pretty much new for 50 bucks

Did u have a previous setup to compare it to? Maybe uour expectations exceed the subs capabilities?... Are you using any bass boost or other enhancement
Considering he's only running it on 500w I wouldn't think he's running it beyond its capabilities. The v2 will take over 1000w no problem. Hell in the right box they can take obscene amounts of power in excess of 3000w. Granted not for extended periods of time but u get the idea lol.

I was referring to sq

Try and play "Nena" by malo. Theres a bunch of congas not even registering.

I was just reading online about people tapping their LoC into the factory subwoofer and having it work OK. But from my experience using the rear channels worked way better. The only thing is that when you adjust the fader to the front channels it will also adjust the sub volume. But unless your the type to constantly adjust your fader you should be fine lol.
And I'm curious to find out what you mean when you say the sub has NO SQ? What kind of music were you playing? Give me an example of some songs you were listening to and weren't happy with and ill try to get a vid up tomorrow of what mine sound like on those songs. You could also check out this vid I did too. Did a couple metal songs and some bassy tracks to show off the SQL of these subs. Got other vids of them too (dubstep and bass tracks) just check out my channel on there if you wanna check out the rest to compare. And I can make a vid for ya too.

Made some adjustments sounds a lil better. Before I tap into the rear door speakers Ima switch from bass to highs on the LC2i and see what the difference may be...thanks fellas for the replies/ advice...please keep it coming.

Shouldn't have to use the highs on the LC2i. That signal out is for going to a highs/mids amp for full range output.

double check where you LPF is, it also may be the fact that your expecting midbass out of your subs since your factory front stage cant supply any, and the factory sub is typically more of a midbass anyway.

i can tell you though its something with the install, the V.2's have no problem in the sq department if ran correctly.

Hey man I tried out that song u told me about (catchy tune) and it sounded pretty good on my two v2's. I'll try and get the vid up for ya asap so u can see what they sound like. Or what they're supposed to sound like. Which will hopefully give u some level of comfort knowing the subs u got might just be hooked up wrong lol.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Whooooooooo hoooooooooooooooo yeeeee hawwwww!!!! It was out of phase! Reversed wires into loc(high inputs) and bam my system not only bumps but but sounds awesome! Thanks yall.

Hey so here's the video of that song playing on my system. Hopefully there will be some noticeable differences in what notes are registering on my subs compared to yours. Anyways let me know.
