What are you looking for? sq? loud? what car? whats your budget. Too many variables to just list 2 and pick the better one. They are meant for different applications.

id say alittle of both sq and loud but i dont really know what the budget is i got somebody that might sell me 2 vvx so i want to know if i should do that or get the s12's so dont worry about the budget its like 500

I would take the skar's any day. L7's will beat them in terms of SPL when it comes to like stuff in the 40hz range but skars can drop way lower and they don't sound anywhere near as bad as the L7's do
