For Starters, hopefully this is in the right place.

I am trying to get some ideas for a system set up in my car. And i've seen one guy in person who's done his up. But I would like to see examples of how others have done there's. So anyone here who owns an rx8 and has put a system in their car. If you don't mind may i see pics of what you have done so i can not only get some examples but ideas as well? For now This is all i have:

12in visonik sub w/ 250 watt amp, it was a x-mas present from my best friend. It's not a bad sub at all but the amp is extremely small and burns out fast. I'm a fan of JL Audio mostly, but i can't complain for a free gift. Thanks for your time!

have you built a box before? if you can, i would say get a nice SQ oriented 10" in a ported box and it will be 1,000x better than that Visonik.

take a look at the Soundsplinter RLP series. and then maybe a 500w rms amp, or somewhere around there.

yeah man.. ditch the sub/amp/box you have now.

you could get a quailty system in there for $500 that will blow the Visonik away, if you dont mind buying good used stuff in the classifieds.

Like i said it's only temporary til i can afford what I really want. I'm just trying to get some ideas so i know what i need to save up for.

I had two 500 watt 10w3d4's with a 1500 watt california profile amp in a cavalier. That **** pounded hard! well hard enough for me. but my ex husband took it from me.

Anywho. The best thing you can give us to start is a budget, and what you want out of the setup. Do you want really loud bass, or do you want it to sound reeeeall nice.

Have you tried RX forums? You'll have more luck there. I have seen only a few Mazda installs on here and they were in the Mazda 3.

i'm on 2 rx8 forums but i haven't really seen anything for audio which is why i thought i'd ask before making a post there.
