hi guys,

most know i have a 88 s10 blazer that had ac, not anymore.

well running wire under the passengers kick panel. well there a vacuum operated door .

does anybody know what this is ?

is it for the ac to allow air to circulate ?

if this is for that im going to remove it as its getting in the way.

and i can test it as there no ac system in this truck.

i tried looking it up in my manual but there nothing about it.

im thinking its for the ac, so when you turn it on the door opens to alow hot air out.

but i could be wrong.

i just need to know what it goes to, so ill know if i can delete it.

if i can i may make some kick panel to put some speakers in. with that hump in the kick panel it will be hard to do with it there.

Air diverters and blend doors usually work with both AC and heater. You don't want to break something you might need in the winter. Ask the guys on a Blazer forum.

I dont know for a fact but it should work with heat and air from the sounds of it. and that door might be the only thing between the fire wall and engine for the air flow
