Running two different subwoofers in the same box

Hi everyone,

Wanted to know if its possible to run two different subwoofers in the same ported box. I have a pair of IDMAX and a pair of JBL MKII's . Amazingly their impedance is identical so I don't have a problem there but would running two different subwoofers have an adverse effect working together in the same ported box. Thanks

This is for sure not recommended... Just sell one or the other, and buy more of the same... They do not have the same impedance... The JBL are dual 6 ohm, and the iDMax are either dual 4 or dual 2...

I am not recommending that he does it. If he is dead set on doing atleast let him have the "most correct" way of doing it. I have toyed with the idea. Have a SPL sub next to SQ sub. hope for the best of both worlds. The ohm load doesn't matter if he is using different amps.

Well that's the whole idea its the first time I've asked it... but now I know it seems to be a dumb question lol

Yes Yes it was lol.... Bad idea all around far from the looking stupid factor there are going to be many other issues that have already been talked about so no need to copy what has already been said... GLOP
