Running two dif model amps to 1 sub.

Alright guys, this is ****ed. I used to have 2 planet audio tt2250D's and i smoked one, set it to planet and they gave me a **** vx2200d, same model amp but different year, well i was planning on strapping the two tt's to run my 18. But the tech guy tells me i cant. Well great.. So i ended up running both amps anyways. but i fudged and didn't set the gains accordingly and 2 days later i smoked my new vx2200d. good things theres a 5 year warrent withy planet audio.

Anyways. my question. and i didn't think of this when i was all excited and wanted to hammer the hell out of my 18. Can i just DMM the two amps to put out the same according voltage at a half gain position? Or am i still going to **** myself. The birth sheets on the two amps are relatively the same.

i'm assuming that coming this far you've set the gain according to the pre-out voltage, and not just "at half"?

open up the cases and compare the MoBos, wouldnt doubt if they were the same lol

They are identical amps. fricken thing.. i didn't smoke the outputs the mosfets were fine lol the capacitors inside the amp melted!!

The only problem is... id ont have 5 year warrenty on one amp, the one amp i got off ebay.. way cheaper than i can even get it for.

If the amps aren't designed to do that, i wouldn't try it. you've allready had bad results, why not just sell both amps on ebay for a better one?
