I have recently been told to use brass bolts...
Well, i measured the resistance on brass bolts and it came up as high as 0.18 ohms as that would definitely effect power received to subs.
I am running 4 DC Lvl4 15s and 2 AQ3500ds.
My idea is to use, for example, 2 1" ID PVC pipes. I use only 8 awg wire. I'd run one set of wire out 1 pipe and the other set of wire out the other pipe. Glue rubber grommets on both ends of each pvc pipe then shoot expanding foam all inside of each pipe and let cure. This should be enough to seal off any air leaks through the pipe and the grommets will help as well. This also has no resistance since it wil be straight ran wire from the subs terminals directly to the amps.
This method sounds doable correct? Because other people keep telling me to use brass bolts when i just found out how much resistance they actually have.
Yes, this is a comp build with partial daily.
