Running ports under back seat for trunk install.

I am asking if anyone has ever ran ports under the back seat and into the cab or just routed them back into the trunk. From my understanding its safest to just face the ports with the sub but If I went under the seats I could save hella room, if I can, than I'd have a much bigger box too. Trying to fit a box for a 3000rms+ 15 with 14 sq" per ft at 30hz is kinda hard.
