Uh..... I've done it.Are you nuts? You obviously have never tried to swim a boat to shore. It's hard enough to swim from the middle of a lake to shore, let alone pushing a several thousand pound piece of fiberglass.

Use an approved gas container?Well if you keep your boat on the water it defeats the purpose of not having to tow it.
I have no idea what you just said.We were on the "main" lake not a clam bay, I doubt you would have been able to pull or push the boat away from shore very successfully.. Unless you are Jack La Laine
Well this is just what we used to do when my dad had a little 18' or so Skeeter, a trolly motor on the front, and an approved gas container underneath the "captain's seat." This was many years ago however, in South Florida.lol what are you talking about?
Johnny was the only one that gave an alternate solution lol.
They do make large gas containers you know... at work fuels are kept away from the flightline in huge JP-8 containers/drums... if they are approved to hold JP-8, then I assume normal pump gas would also be within the law... but thats just me assuming saving ~$2 on 50+ gallons of gas would be worth it... different strokes for different folks!Thats kinda hard when you need 50 gallons
