So i think ill be getting these subs, but for now i can only afford one, if i hook one up to my amp and dont crank it, i shouldnt blow it right? its rated at 600 rms, but ive been told they handle around 1200 true.... is that right? soon after id hook up the second and crank it, but i dont want to blow any more subs for now, those type R's barely made it 3 months

You'll need to seal off half of that box if you're going to run just one or its gonna sound like poo.

If you have an enclosure for it yeah it'll be fine but it doesn't sound like you do... 1200wrms of clean power before resistance rise on music is nothing for that sub though. If you don't have a proper box, forget it.

It's perfect for 2 SA 12's. 2 net per. He needs to get the other sub.
