does it hurt a sub to run it on just one voice coil if its dual voice coil??

i have a TRF 15" 1.5ohm DVC and my amp is only 1 0hm stable... sooo that would be .75 ohms if i hooked both up, right?

so right now im running it with just one voice coil hooked up.. just wondering if i am an idiot for doing it.

thanks

you wont damage it, no.

however, try connecting both coils in parallel, and see if the amp minds.

your other option, is to run them in series, and give the sub less power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yes

you'll do more harm that way then running your amp at 0.75 ohms.
