Running a laptop fan off of a battery

I pulled the fan out of my laptop that got fried and I want to run it off of a battery. There are 4 wires: black, red, green, and yellow. I know there is a power and a ground, and I assume one of the two remaining wires is for rpm. Is there any way to wire this so it will run on max?
