Running @ .5 and causing protect mode

Is it dangerous for the amp to be jumping into protect @ .5? I know im not supposed to wire the woofers this way, but i got d2 coils instead of d1...

Loud volume=jump into protect, and i cant gauge where it does this to avoid it...

I have 2 SK-1500.1s coming in for each woofer so its temporarily wired to .5

To be fair i dont drop below 12.8, but you could be on to something

theres ur problem ur not seeing.true voltage drop run all 3 wires straight back to amp ..thats where u wana see the voltage at

Its one that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I have to invest in a hard wired one eventually.

in the meantime wire the aq to 2 ohms before u fry it

I agree but any amp at .5 will need very good electrical @ 2000+ rms daily, or you will run into problems.

Ill take the 2200 before you kill it. But wire to 2 ohm until you get new amps.

Do you have just one battery or two? I guess its the set-up in your sig?

Maybe gains are set to high?

Just run it in 2 ohm for now or else be prepared o spend money on another amp.
