Running 2 Head Units simultaneously

So to start this let me say my car has a double din head unit holder.

I have 2 different head units i want to use, i have a "standard" Single din that I want to power my system off of because of its superior SQ.

However I also have a cheap single din chinese touchscreen with dvd playback.

my question is if i can have the speaker outputs from my aftermarket amplifier power my speakers WHILE at the same time wire the other head units onboard speaker output to the same speakers as the amp.

Ultimately what i want to accomplish is having one sq head unit that i listen to the radio, play ipod, aux, whatever. While also keeping the ability to power on my cheap touchscreen and watch a movie but still have sound present. - (even though it wont be amplified)

Im having a really hard time explaining this, does this make sense to anyone?

Im not sure how i would do that.

my sq head unit is 6 channels FR FL RR RL SWL SWR

And i have a 4 channel rca going to my 4 channel amp and the 2 sw channels to my monoblock.

So all my rca's on all my stuff are full, I have some Y adapters i can use, but that seems like a worse way to approach this.

What do you guys reccomend?

Y adapters would work.

So you watch movies while driving? I can only see more noise issues in this setup. Good luck!
Not while im driving but maybe if im parked somewhere, or waiting in a drive through, i have a double din slot so if i can put it to use id rather use it.

And noise isnt an option, which is the same reason i dont want to use y cables.

I was just unsure if my amplifier being wired to my second head unit through my speaker could potentially damage that head unit or amplifier.

Y splitters aren't going to add any more noise than you'll already have. Why not just buy a double DIN head unit with all the features you want?

iv heard y splitters are bad for the signal, and to my knowlage there are no DSP touch screens. and if there are im certainly not in a position to buy one. im going from a budget SPL deck to a DEH80PRS and i dont want to do anything that will hinder this new head unit.

iv already installed them and they fit and work just fine stacked and i plan to keep it that way, i just dont know if my amp will start powering my head unit as well, or vice versa.

I'm not really sure how a splitter is bad for the signal.. I'm just trying to help you simplify things here

I'm not advocating this idea, because I don't like it, but you could use a fold-out DVD unit and output the audio right into the AUX input on the back of the other head unit. I can't promise this will work well, or at all. What I would do is put in a double DIN DVD head unit and add JBL MS-8. I rarely play DVDs in my car, but I have a system that is just that. Right now I use Clarion NX603. The front pre-outs go into MS-8, then I use all 8 channels for 5.1 sound.

Just mount a speaker out of sight and run it off of the DVD player speaker outputs. That way both decks stay separate
good idea, id rather not have to find a place to stick another speaker, but this is definately my plan B.

love this idea, except im not going to use the aux port, i have a 2 channel rca in on my head unit that i couldnt think of a use for, this reminded me i had it haha.

Ill just run my front channels from my dvd head unit into the rca in's on my pioneer.

wow that just got simple, really happy i posted here before a started running more wire and blowing **** up, Thanks Guys!

Another option is to sell the prs and get an inexpensive dsp. You can pick up the new ppi DSP-88r for around $200/$250, or a used jbl MS-8 for about the same on ebay. They should be able to make the sound better than the 80 PRS.
