running 1/0 to batt

I've always preferred under the door sills/weather guards if possible (the plastic covers on the floor that go between the door and the frame.).

Usually this is how factory wires are ran, so there's generally enough space to get your wire through there as well. I'm running my 1/0 gauge through my door sills along with 4 16 gauge wires and other misc. wires (remotes, RCA's, etc).

I love running them through door sills because it looks completely factory, sometimes under carpet you'll get a lump (depending on how tight your carpet is laid in the corners). But I don't like running under the car, that's just personal preference. If you do, I would definitely use some protective plastic loom or something of the sort to weather proof it / save it from flying up rocks and whatever.

Cliffs:

best to worst in my opinion:

1. under door guards

2. under carpet

3. under car

x20 im not sure where you mean, do you happen to have a pic or something?
I'll go grab a pic for you right now, be right back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if you go to build logs, and go to the saturn build, it is a HUGE thread, but somewhere in it, it has pics of him running a few runs of 1/0 AWG through the sideskirt of his car
Haha I love that build log, but I think he's referring to what I mean by door sills. I'm uploading pics now. Just realized my trunk latch is busted again though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

As you can see the first pic has the door sill on, hiding the wires completely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

That's a run of 0 gauge Kicker Hyperflex and 4 16gauge speaker wires.

No problem, lol I just realized that my ugly temp install on the XXX components are visible in those pics.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

Don't worry guys, FiberGlass is coming!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i dont think itll work in mine. theres no space to put the wires there. so it looks like ill have to take out the carpet.
Aw that sucks.. You sure there's no space? Mine doesn't really look like there is space, but they manage to fit there. Try dropping something there and putting the panels back on and see if they close, put like a marker or something about the size of 4 or 0 gauge. If not, then yeah, under the carpet you go! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

well the palstic thing that is for where you step only covers half of teh space of the door. so if some fit, alot would still show. ill see if i can work someting out.

Actually I've never much touched and SUV, besides a head unit install on an Escalade //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
